How to battle shedding dog hair

If you leave your house for work covered in dog hair, we can help.  You don't have to get non shedding dogs.  There are a lot of solutions for less and more manageable dog hair besides trading Bowser and Fido in for non shedding dogs.

There are several natural supplements available to decrease dog hair your pet sheds.  Shed-Stop is a product available both in a liquid and granules.  It is designed to turn regular canines into non shedding dogs.  Well, not really - it doesn't stop the annual sheds most pets have, but it does really minimize the daily shed.

Pets lose dog hair when they are nervous, afraid or stressed.  Even non shedding dogs can lose hair if they are under a tremendous amount of stress.  For those with shedders, put a towel over his bed before a thunderstorm and cover the seats in the car before a vet trip.

As for dog hair on your clothes, if you don't have a lint brush handy, don't worry.  The quickest way to pretend to the world you have non shedding dogs is masking tape.  Wrap the tape (sticky side out) backwards a couple of times around your hand.  Cheaper than a lint brush, and more effective.

If you have allergies, it's likely dander, not dog hair, that bothers you.  Even non shedding dogs will cause an allergic reaction.  There are, however, many new, exciting products that you can take.  There's even a spray for your pet that has little "friendly" microbes that eat dander.
