Dog training supplies list:  clicker, pinch collar, treats

To create an obedient pet, you need some basic dog training supplies to help in your efforts.  The list should include a clicker, pinch collar, and treats to reward good behavior.  There are other dog training supplies you could include, but a clicker, pinch collar, and treats are the essentials, in my opinion.

Using dog training supplies like a clicker, pinch collar, and reward treats

These dog training supplies all work together to streamline your obedience sessions with pet dogs.  The clicker is used to associate a command with a simple noise in your animal's mind.  Think Pavlov's bell in his classic experiments.  The pinch collar produces a mildly painful sensation for correction, but is in no way harmful.  And the treats are very important as positive reinforcement for the good behavior you want to repeat.

The dog training supplies section of most pet stores will have all of these items, and none is expensive.  The clicker style really isn't important, but should be loud enough to be heard if you train dogs where it's noisy.  Be careful picking the pinch collar, as you want to get one that is large enough for your animal's neck.  And it's a good idea to pick treats that are low-calorie and small, so you don't inadvertently create obese pets.

If you have a tight dog training supplies budget, you might use a simple finger snap in place of the clicker.  The pinch collar is important, but you can use standard collars and just produce a quick but powerful jerk to get your message across.  Just be careful!  The treats for positive reinforcement should be healthy, but you can use something homemade to save money.
