Dog collars for everything under the Sun!
You may have never given
it much thought, but did you know that there is an amazing variety of dog collars
available for your pooch? Everything from behavior training to designer,
fancy dog collars are out there to be found.
If you're looking for a
training collar to stop a noisy pet, there are dog collars that emit a
quick spray of citronella into the animal's nose. Animal behavior
specialists recommend citronella because it's harmless and only serves
to distract, which over time diminishes the barking. Typically, these
types of products are not expensive, and citronella refills are easily
obtained.
While I oppose such
methods personally, you can also find a plethora of shock dog collars
that will reduce barking in dogs and puppies. Be warned, however, that
many animal behavior experts also oppose these methods, as a dog's level
of pain tolerance is very difficult to gauge and varies widely. You may
inadvertently cause severe pain to a puppy or dog using this kind of
training method, even while his reaction doesn't indicate it.
Get designer dog collars to give your
pet some flair that reflects his/her personality!
If you're looking for dog
collars that serve another purpose, like making Fluffy look pretty or
giving your little Chihuahua a touch of macho, then a designer collar
might be right up your alley. You can get diamond-studded, or spiked,
or just plain leather. I recommend checking online (search for
"designer dog collar" or something similar at a search engine). Even
your local pet store probably carries a variety of options. Some animal
behavior experts even recommend this, believe it or not, as a means of
giving your dog a sense of individuality. You never know!
